How do I book a Rawdah permit on Nusuk?
How to book the free Rawdah permit in Nusuk, how often you can go, which gate to use, how long a visit lasts and how to find an available slot.

Checked against official sources: November 2026
How does booking work?
- Open Nusuk and find the Rawdah service, which sits separately from the Umrah permit.
- Select men or women, then your date and time.
- Confirm and save the QR code.
- Go to the gate named on the permit, not the gate nearest your hotel.
How can I find a slot when none are showing?
Slots open in batches and disappear quickly in busy periods. Check several times a day, including early morning and late at night Saudi time. Try weekdays first, and look in the first days of your stay so you have room to try again if something goes wrong. Book each traveller as soon as you know your dates in Madinah.
A same-day option for people already near the mosque has been reported since 2025. Availability changes, so treat it as a backup and never as the plan.
What happens on the day?
Arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes early. Staff scan the QR code and guide people in groups, and you will wait in a holding area first. Inside, keep your prayer brief so others can have their turn. You may be moved on when time is up.
Have the visiting hours changed?
Yes, and more than once. A new timetable was announced in May 2026, and hours are adjusted during the year. Hours for men and women differ. The time on your permit is the one that counts.
Should I pay anyone for a slot?
No. The permit is free and tied to your own identity, so a slot sold by someone else is a warning sign.
